26. 02. 2020

Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin spoke today with Director of the Military Intelligence and Security Service of the Slovak Ministry of Defense, General Ján Balciar.

Minister Vulin said that Serbia and Slovakia are friendly countries, which cooperate on the basis of mutual respect for national views. He emphasized the gratitude of the Republic of Serbia for Slovakia’s principled position on non-recognition of the so-called “State of Kosovo” and regretted that members of the Slovak Armed Forces were no longer part of the KFOR.

Vulin and Balciar stated that the cooperation between the Military Intelligence Agency of Serbia and the Military Intelligence and Security Service of Slovakia is good and contributes to the development of friendly relations between the two countries. They stressed their readiness to promote this cooperation in their mutual interest.

General Balciar thanked Minister Vulin for the reception and added that the military intelligence relationship was based not only on professional principles but also on mutual trust. He said that he loves Serbia and feels here as he does in his country, since he is a frequent guest of his countrymen in Bački Petrovac. Referring to the statement, Minister Vulin said that he grew up in Bač, a place where many Slovaks live, and added that members of the Slovak minority have always been hardworking and honest people, who in all situations were close to Serbia, which our country appreciates greatly.

Director of the Military Intelligence Agency, Brigadier General Zoran Stojković also attended the meeting.
