The Military Intelligence Agency

 

The Military Intelligence Agency (MIA) is a part of security-intelligence system as a functionally integrated subsystem of the national security of the Republic of Serbia (National Security Strategy, Chapter V, Article 1).

Security-intelligence system includes Security-Information Agency, Military Security Agency and Military Intelligence Agency. Harmonization of the activities of the security servicies is performed by Coordination Bureau (National Security Strategy, Chapter V, Article 1).

The Military Intelligence Agency is a governing body within the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia which carries out tasks significant for the defense and represents a part of a unique security-intelligence system of the Republic of Serbia (Law on Military Security Agency and Military Intelligence Agency, Article 2)
