MIA Annual Work Analysis

The Military Intelligence Agency (MIA) annual work analysis for 2016 was presented on February 8, 2017 in the premises of the Agency. The heads of the MIA’s departments presented the results of the work to MIA deputy director colonel Zoran Stojković.

Addressing the staff of the Agency, colonel Zoran Stojković stressed that the Agency had successfully executed tasks within its three assigned missions supporting the state and military leadership by providing information about risks and threats to the security of the Republic of Serbia from abroad, providing intelligence support to the Serbian Armed Forces in realizing its missions and duties, as well as representing and protecting interests of the Defence Ministry and the Armed Forces abroad. In this regard, it was emphasized that due to its highly educated and professional staff, modernizing of the data gathering and analyzing systems and applying modern standards, the MIA had contributed to the stability of the defense system and security of the citizens of the Republic of Serbia in 2016.

Finally, MIA deputy director underlined key goals and tasks of the Agency in 2017, stressing the need to continue the strengthening of operational and functional capabilities in order to give a better response to new challenges through further promotion of organization and professional development of the staff.
